My trip to KL - Day 2

The conference started proper on 8 October.

So here's a pic of me in a jacket *duh*.

I don't normally wear one, so I guess this is a noteworthy shot :)

Photo of the walkway from the hotel room. As you can tell, the walk from the hotel to the conference halls is a short one.

The conference that I was invited to attend.

The view from the conference halls.

The managing director of FutureGov doing his intro.

The traditional welcome. We heard them play at least three times from other halls.

From the Redhat table.

We went to the Menara Tower, also known as the KL Tower for dinner.

Some traditional dancing.

Some conference attendees being invited for the fun.

Two friends that I met during the conference, Sandra and Dirk.

Posing with the dancers.

It was very hazy that night.

After the dinner, I decided to go to Plaza Lowyat to look see-look see.

As I was getting into the station, I just saw the monorail leave and had to wait for 16 mins for the next one.

If this happened in Singapore, there probably would have been a riot.

Reached there at 9.30pm, half an hour before closing.

It was amazing seeing how fast the shopkeepers close.

Thinking that it'll probably be faster walking back, I went down Jalan Bukit Bintang that night.

There was quite a bit of road works and seeing that it was quite a rowdy place, I didn't linger to take many pictures.

Here are the shots that I took of the Tower that I had dinner just a few hours ago.

The route I took back to hotel - I learnt the next day that someone had throw a grenade (two actually) at an unfortunate car jockey and even more unfortunate passing tourists along Bukit Bintang that might.

End of Day 2.
