As normal, when I asked him why he had hit me, he remained diplomatically silent. Based on a hunch I asked, 'is it because daddy is snoring?'
Nod.
'Is it very loud?'
Nod again.
'Daddy will try, but you need to stop hitting me ok?'
'Ok.'
Since I 'got his message', he has stopped hitting me and been providing lots of feedback:
- 'Daddy, when u sleep, please don't snore in my ear ok?'
- 'Daddy, can u snore a bit softer?'
- 'Daddy, when i sleep over here, can u roll over?'
- 'Daddy, the sound coming out of your nose is too loud.'
