My trip to KL - Day 4 (Part 3)

Went shopping in Nu Sentral mall connected to the KL Sentral station to get some stuff for colleagues. Prices of the stuff there were comparable to those in SG.

Decorations for the Diwali (deepavali) festival.

Repeating the shot taken four days ago. Seems like the haze lingered.

MAS aircraft in different livery.

Some nice dramatic cloud formations.

Not sure if these belong to Singapore or Malaysia...

Landing.

Home sweet home.

It was a swell 4 days, hopefully I'll get a chance to go for another trip like this next time :)

My trip to KL - Day 3

This was the shot taken on the second day of the conference from my room.

Another friend, a kindly doctor from MOH Malaysia whom I had the honor to make during the conference.

In conjunction with the FutureGov conference, Malaysia held its National Digital Conference that we were "invited" to attend.

A presenter from the US sharing about shared services.

Participants playing a game that let them have a chance at winning a Blackberry *snicker* Q10 or Z10 *double snicker*

Dinner at some high end eating place.

Group photo of newly made friends.

A trio of lovely Philipino ladies.

After the fulfilling dinner, I went to explore the Pavilion. Here are some shots taken inside the building.

Mango flavored ice cream.

That was the end of Day 3.

My trip to KL

Due to the nature of my current work, I don't get to travel much.

But I got an opportunity this month when I was invited to attend a conference at KL from 7 to 11 October.

The following posts document some of the things I did over this period.

The mandatory travel document shot.

Some sights in Changi Airport.

My MAS flight.

Landing in KLIA. The tower can be seen in the background on the left.

The immigration area was eerily empty at 12pm...

I didn't get any shots of the KL Express train and it just rolled in just as I got there.

Here's the place where you can drop your luggage in KL Sentral if you're flying MAS, Cathay Pacific and some other flights. You can check in up to 6 hours before your flight.

KL Sentral.

This is the adjoining shopping centre, Nu Central. Nice and swanky.

Walking towards the KL monorail. It was quite hazy that day.

The KL tower silhoutted in the haze.

Took the monorail to Raja Chulan, where my hotel, Impiana Resort and Spa was located.

Inside of the monorail - it resembles the Sentosa express, just a little more gritty-looking and with more seating. And you can see the driver.

Someone waiting for the monorail on the other side. The doors weren't working yet.

Went by this historical building. Seems that it was a prison being torn down.

Arriving and checked in. This is the view from my hotel window.

KLCC a short walk away.

Through this walkway, it was totally sheltered and air conditioned. It even had security guards stationed at regular intervals in it!

Signage to tell you where to go.

View of the inside.

After coming down the escalator, this is the first attraction you see in KLCC.

Heard it was comparable to the SEA aquarium, but I didn't go in because I thought fishes look similar wherever you go...

The Petronas Science Gallery, or something like that.

Admission charges.

A free gallery.

A compulsory pilgrimage for kids.

Some views inside and outside KLCC.

Night view of the KLCC conference halls.

End of Day 1.
